Dr. Medhavi Rajwade

Medhavi has over 18 years of experience in the field of Biodiversity. She was associated with MES Abasaheb Garware College, Pune as Asst. Professor for 12 years at the Dept. of Biodiversity. She has worked as a Consultant in Ecology and Environment for Pune Knowledge Cluster, Reeds, The Ecological Solutions, Sahara Aamby Valley adventure Cell and Private farm house owners. She was associated and assisted projects related to quantitative assessment of plant resources of Western Ghats for Department of Biotechnology funded project and Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel (WGEEP) constituted by MOEFCC. She worked as a co-ordinator for biodiversity survey and enhancement project for the companies. She was involved in conducting ‘Green Audit’ for institutes and private companies. She has nine research publications to her name. She has delivered popular and scientific talks on topics like identification of snakes, misconceptions of snakes, biodiversity of the Western Ghats, environmental science for corporate clubs and social organizations.

Amruta has over 18 years of experience in the field of biodiversity. She has been associated with various projects lead by the organizations like RANWA, Pune; Center for Ecological Science, IISc (Bengaluru), Abasaheb Garware College; as a plant, biodiversity and ecology expert. She has worked as a Consultant in Ecology, Environment and Livelihood for Pune Knowledge Cluster, Yojak, Reeds, The Ecological Solutions, township planners and Private farm house owners. She was involved in conducting ‘Green Audit’ for academic institutes. She also has been an integral part of the biodiversity and environment related projects for companies and developmental/housing projects. She performed a vital role in MOEFCC constituted Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel work for Maharashtra segment. She represented India in Darwin Scholarship programme at United Kingdom. She successfully completed Lead Auditor Training course of ISO 14001:2001 Standard in Environment Management Systems and CFI course on Environment Social Governance. She is a member of IUCN SSC Western Ghats Plant Specialist Group.
